FAQ

That depends on many factors: your age, gender, current weight, eating habits, and overall health, just to name a few. What we’ve seen in over 90% of our patients over the past 20 years is a weight loss of 15–25 lbs per month. Men generally lose 20–25 lbs per month, while women typically lose 15–20 lbs. The more weight you’re carrying, the more you’re likely to lose in the first month. People with health issues such as water retention or bowel problems may lose less. However, if you follow the diet diligently, you’ll likely lose weight within a few pounds of our average results.

The food on this diet is food you would buy at the grocery store. We teach you how to lose weight while eating real, everyday foods, because that’s the only way to keep it off for life. Life doesn’t stop for a diet. Learning to manage your diet in real-world situations is what creates lasting success. Supplements used in the program can be purchased at a drugstore. What you buy from our clinic is your monthly program, which includes 12 visits to the clinic, weigh-ins, urine analysis, counseling, and B12 shots.

The diet starts at $175. That includes your consultation and a full week on the program. Your diet manual, recipe book, and injections are also included. After that, we offer various price options based on how long you’ll be on the program, how often you can come in, and whether the program is virtual. We also offer special pricing for seniors aged 65 and older.

Many people tell us they’ve tried several diets without success. At the Ontario Weight & Wellness Clinic, we guarantee at least 10 lbs of weight loss per month if you’re following the diet as directed. We track progress through regular urine analysis.

This is a low-fat keto diet, meaning it’s low in carbs, fats, and sugars. A low-fat keto diet is a modified version of the traditional ketogenic diet. It focuses on reducing both carbohydrates and fats while maintaining moderate protein as the primary nutrient source. By lowering carbs and fats, your body switches to fat-burning mode (ketosis), using stored body fat more efficiently. This promotes rapid fat loss while helping to maintain muscle and reduce hunger or cravings.

The Dr. Seagrist Diet includes meat, fish, vegetarian proteins, cheese, and most vegetables in the first couple of weeks. Fruits and carbohydrates are gradually reintroduced after that.
- 07
We monitor your progress with a urine analysis at each visit to confirm whether your body is burning fat effectively. This, along with your food diary, helps us ensure you're following the program and allows us to adjust it as needed for optimal results.

Losing weight without giving up their lifestyle is one of the most common concerns patients have. The answer is ABSOLUTELY! Our goal is to help you live your life while losing weight, not hide from it. At the Ontario Weight & Wellness Clinic, we teach you how to make smart choices in real-life situations, whether it’s dinner with friends, a weekend getaway, or a night out. You’ll learn how to enjoy food and drinks in moderation while staying on track with your goals. This isn’t about punishment or perfection; it’s about balance, confidence, and control. You’ll discover that you can still have fun, feel good, and continue to lose weight, all at the same time.

While weight loss medications can be effective in some cases, they often come with side effects, high costs, and limited long-term sustainability. On the other hand, supervised weight loss focuses on lifestyle change, not just symptom management. With a structured, medically-informed program like ours, you’re not relying on a pill to do the work. Instead, you're learning how to change your habits, improve your nutrition, and understand your body’s signals.
Many patients find they not only lose weight more effectively, but also feel better, gain confidence, and avoid the risks and dependencies often associated with medication-based approaches.

Structured programs don’t just help you lose weight, they teach you how to keep it off. With guidance, accountability, and education, you build habits that support your health for years to come. Long-term benefits include the following:
Improved metabolism and energy levels
Lowered risk of chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure
Better sleep and mood regulation
Increased confidence and self-control around food
A deeper understanding of how your body responds to nutrition and activity
Unlike crash diets or fads, structured programs are designed for real life, which makes long-term success not only possible, but also sustainable.
